Synopsis:
Alexandra has an odd hobby: She uses her cell phone as a "digital diary". Whenever she gets a chance, she records little snippets of her life with her cell phone camera in monolog-style, to reflect on daily events. Although she has a grave asthmatic condition that requires medication, Alexandra lives a life of happiness, love, and freedom.
That is until she meets and marries Dave, a successful but cold and aggressive business man. His initial charm has now given way to an abusive, egocentric man, who disrespects Alexandra close to the point of humiliation.
One day while shopping for groceries, Alexandra meets Ben, a recent med school grad. They talk and are attracted to each other instantly. Ben gives Alexandra his phone number and address, prompting her to call or even come by whenever she wanted. Back at home Alexandra has a mild asthma attack while preparing dinner for her and Dave, she recovers on her own, but when Dave enters, all he sees is burnt food and gets horrifically upset with Alexandra ending up slapping her across the face.
Later that week, Alexandra instead decides to meet with Ben and calls him to arrange a date. The call turns into a warm and romantic over-the-phone flirt, and Alexandra is now convinced she is falling for Ben. They decide to meet up but tragedy strikes when Alexandra gets trapped in the elevator in Ben's building. Communication fails on multiple levels, and Alexandra is trapped. She ends up "recording" herself using the cell phone camera, while passing through all emotional stages, humor, frustration, anxiety, and finally desperation. She suffers another asthma attack, but without her inhaler or anyone coming to help her, she ultimately cannot survive. The cell-phone recorded document is Alexandra's last instance of communication in a technology-saturated world.
